This brochure is based on an earlier Dutch version that was sponsored by the National Rehabilitation Fund in the Netherlands.
The National Rehabilitation Fund is devoted to improve the position of people with a physical handicap in society. Its purpose is to encourage social participation, that is a society without barriers in which everybody can fully participate. Another important purpose is independency. Because whether it is about education, work, living, leisure time or transportation, the main thing is a life as independent as possible.
